Coleman Cafe Review: A Buffet That Is as Affordable as It Is Fresh

6 January 2020

With its wide variety of cuisines and dishes served at its International Lunch and Dinner Buffets, dining at Coleman’s Café sure is a treat.

Located on the fifth floor at the Peninsula Excelsior Hotel in City Hall, you’ll want to head straight for the Sushi section with a delectable display of assorted sushi, as well as fresh salmon and tuna sashimi.

The all-dining establishment is also known for its seafood on ice, which comprises freshly cooked prawns, black mussels and scallop tabasco. If you prefer something warm to start your meal with, look to the Carving Station with Roast Beef, or the Hong Kong Roast section where you’ll find glistening Roast Pork Belly slices, Char Siew (Noodles), Soya Chicken, and Roast Duck.

End your meal on a sweet note with Coleman’s impressive dessert spread. There are a variety of local and Western delights, but my favourite is the ice cream bar, where you get to prepare your own ice cream with an assortment of flavours and toppings.

Hats off also, to the café’s hospitable and attentive staff, especially its manager who is thoughtful and never misses a beat when it comes to the tiniest details.

Whether you’re looking for a place to celebrate an occasion, or are in the area, don’t miss out on this cosy place with an array of quality eats.
