We’re halfway through the year, and what a year it has been. Amidst a busy work schedule and finding time for others, we tend to forget about me-time. There are numerous self-care tips for a healthy mind, body and soul that we can start incorporating into our lives. Hit the pause button, and find time to rejuvenate ourselves with these 10 self-care tips.
1. Get an undisturbed 8 hours of sleep a night
Studies have shown that if you don’t get at least 8 hours of sleep a night, it may lead to weight gain, affect your concentration and productivity during the day. By having a good night’s sleep, you’re allowing your brain to rest, which improves emotional well-being and help build a strong immunity system.
2. Start your day early
This may be challenging, especially if you like to sleep in, but give it a go. It can be waking up 15 minutes earlier to brew a cup of coffee or tea, and just spend time to mentally prepare yourself for the day. Early bird catches the worm!
3. Stretch when you rise from slumber
Upon waking up, take about 10 minutes to do basic stretches to get the blood flowing and stimulate your mind. This helps you relax your muscles, and by doing it regularly it helps to improve your overall body posture and prevents back pain or injuries. Find out how you can start here.

5. Organise your space at home
If you have some time during the weekend, re-organise that space in your home and shift furniture around. There’s no need to redo your entire home! You can’t keep those books on the dining table, clear away the pile of laundry on the chair or even change your old carpet for a new one. Let the positive energy flow through your humble abode, and we promise you’ll feel good after. Plan where you’d like to start from and you can even spend a few minutes of the day organising your home.
